Antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) are an important part of the innate immune
system of plants and animals. We are investigating different AMPs of the
model plant Arabidopsis for their possible antimicrobial activity.
Phytopathogenic Nematodes: many nematodes are pathogens on plant roots. Cyst nematodes induce a syncytium in the roots of their host plants from which they feed.
